Lots of Changes

Since Avington has turned one, she has gone through many changes. We are so blessed that she is continuing to develop and learn. Its a true reminder of how awesome God is and how good He is to us :)
Now Avie can.....
Crawl
Walk ( yeah!! )
Stand on her own
Dance
Has about 8 words
Understands and uses the word "No"
Follows directions
Folds her hands to pray
Waves
Uses and understands two sign language words ( more, please ) * we are working on thank you*
Has FOUR teeth coming in at once... not fun. One of which is an 18 month molar in the very back
Knows her hair, belly button, toes
Knows where her boo boo is (which has been gone for about a week)
Gives kisses when asked
Knows the following animal sounds: Cow; Hooch (our dog); Bear; Bee's; Horse (needs some work)

We just can't belive how fast she changes. As some of you know, I worry about her constantly. I think because she was 4 weeks early and I am always comparing her to other kiddo's. The Lord gently reminds me of the things that she is able to do :)

Jibberish and Phonebook

Here are some candid pics of Avie. She has really been "talking" a lot lately. The mom side of me is happy, but the speech therapist side of me is THRILLED!!! She does have several words, but her favorite word is "more", mainly because it relates to food... and if you know her she LOVES to eat!!! Anyways, Charlie left the phone book on our bed yesterday and Avie decided she would "read" it. She was just flipping through the pages and babbling on and on about this and that. She would point at the pictures or people names, then look at me, then point back to the pic/name and look at me again like " do you wanna call them momma? " It was so funny!

New Pics

Avie and Grandpa Chuck at her first parade. We went to Danville this weekend for the "Turkey Fest" and watched the parade and had a cookout at Aunt Paula's house. Avie loved the parade! Playing on her blanket with her toys waiting for the parade to start.

Happy Father's Day pics at Mamaw and Papaw Burr's

Exploring with Papaw Burr. They walk all over the place and learn new things. He as taught her how to smell flowers, look for bee's, make bee noises (along with other animals) and tons of other things I can't even begin to explain. She loves being outside and learning with her Pap!

Here are some pictures of Avie in a "real pool" at Debbie Hardesty's a.k.a "Miss Debbie". The first time I took her, she did not like it one bit, she cried and screamed even when her feet were in. However as you can tell by the pictures she now LOVES it! As soon as we get there she heads right for the water and splashes her little baby feet, it is so cute.

We all think she is going to be an outdoors girl, she loves playing in the rocks/dirt, looking at the birds, going for walks, smelling/picking the flowers, and "exploring" with papaw Burr.
She is growing up so fast! Sorry for the delay in pictures.... my internet has been acting up lately. Hopefully it is fixed and I can get back to blogging and cropmom.... I am addicted thanks to Christy :)

Swimming Pool

Since today was so nice and we were homebound anyways with the yard sale, we decided to fill up Avie's swimming pool. The first experience with the pool was not so good, she cried the entire time she was in there, but today was great. She laughed, tried to drink the water, and went down the sliding board. Here are a few pictures of her in it.

Today is the day

COME ONE COME ALL.... ITS YARD SALE DAY!

As I posted a couple of days ago... I am having a yard sale.

We have tons of stuff so come and check us out, or at least stop by to say hi :)

Got Milk?

Over the weekend we went to my aunt's house for a cookout to kick off the balloon festival. This was Avington after she had finished eating homemade ice cream. We all thought she could win the "Got Milk" contest.

New Avie Stuff

I am often amazed at how much Avie changes in just a weekends time. This weekend she has learned and said some new things.
***She now says "no" and shakes her head back and forth, well really her entire body shakes back and forth when she says "no". It is so funny! She currently doesn't associate what "no" really means when she says it. She just says it and shakes it and then laughs.
***She also has been saying "zop", which I am thinking is "stop", but then she says "zap" and occassionally "zip".
***She has found her hair and pulls her hair when you ask her where it is and she now knows where her toes are.
***She also is very much into dancing
***Oh and now she finally crawls!!! Many of you know I have been worried to death about her not crawling, well now she is moving and grooving.

She is just so much fun and we love her so much! We constantly are either laughing at her or with her. What a great life we have been blessed with,

I'm having a Yard Sale

Yes its true, your eyes are not fooling you... I am having a yard sale. I always said I would never have a yard sale, but low and behold I am. It is going to be next Friday and Saturday (if I am feeling that ambitious, if not the stuff is going to my mother-in-laws on Saturday).
If you want to come "shop" and or bring stuff up to sell, let me know :) You are more than welcome to add your things to my things. Just make sure you mark what is yours.
Key items we will be selling include:
Big Screen TV (needs some TLC)
Granite table top
Bathtub (which Charlie thinks will sell... I on the other hand am a bit skeptical)
2x4 lumber
Clothing (mine and Charlies)
Shoes
Other misc things that I am sure I am forgetting about
Oh and Hooch.... he will be free to a good home :)
