Bathroom remodeling

Charlie and I have decided to "remodel" our bathroom. Actually we have gutted a bedroom and are going to rip out our existing bathroom and make a stairway to our basement. The new bathroom is in our spare bedroom. Charlie, along with the help of my dad and his dad, is doing the whole thing. Right now it is a huge mess, but it will be well worth it when it is finished. I will post new pictures of progress as it comes along.
Here we are in our new tub.
New tub in the wall that Charlie just built. Behind that is where a closet with all of my clothes used to be.

This picture is looking in from the hallway.

Christmas with Uncle Ryan and Kari

Ryan and Kari (his girlfriend) bought Avie a princess Belle doll for Christmas. It came with a crown that blinks and snap on earrings. She was so excited about it. She kept grabbing for the box while we were trying to get it open!

Giving kisses to Belle.

Here is the blinking crown.

I can sit up by myself

Avie sat up by herself for the first time on Christmas morning. She also has a new thing of constantly sticking her tongue out.... its so cute!

My first Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! This is one of our first pictures of the morning The next pictures are of Avie in her new car. Its a bug just like Granny Burr's. She loved this gift. My parents got it for her. She had so much fun being pushed around in it. She is all set for walks at Lake Park when the weather warms up.

Here are Avie's first sun glasses. She looked so cute in them.

This ball is really neat. It talks and spins in circles. She loved it!

This is mainly how our Christmas went.... everything went straight to her mouth!
The next few pictures are at Nin's house. We had Christmas there on Christmas Eve. Avie got her first cabbage patch doll, Mattie, along with several other great gifts. I like to think she is giving kisses, but really she is trying to eat the nose! haha

Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas wonderful. Your generosity and love are more than anyone could ask for. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and friends. We love you all very much!

We Graduated!

This is a fresh food feeder. I know it looks a bit odd, but it is really cool. What you do is, you unsnap the top and put fresh fruits (bananas, strawberries, oranges, pineapple....) in the netting part. Then the baby chews on the netting and is able to get the juices and bits of the fruit out without choking on it. Avie loves it! My sister-in-law told me about it, so I bought some from WalMart. It can be sticky, but it is a great way to give her fresh fruit.

This is a picture of her eatin out of it. She was eating a banana.

She also now is drinking out of a sippy cup. She can hold it by herself and she just loves it!

Avie Update

Hello Everyone! New pictures will be coming soon, things have just been busy lately. I hope everyone is ready for the Christmas Season. We are ready at the Wright household. Avington Lynn loves looking at our Christmas tree! She is getting so big, she will be 7 months old on the 22nd. Seems like only a few weeks ago we were in the hospital with "peanut" (that is what all of the nurses called her because she was so tiny). Anyways, she is doing great. She has her 2 bottom teeth in, she is eating baby food 2 x per day, is pushing herself up on her arms and scooting backwards while on her belly, she can roll from back to belly and from belly to back, she can make her walker go fowards and backwards, she can sit up with minimal assistance from someone (when we let her go she can hold herself for a few seconds, then she tumbles over), she loves playing the tickle game, she loves to stand up, and she absolutley loves looking at pictures of herself. We have a big 11x14 of her in our hallway, and anytime she looks at it she starts kicking her legs and wanting to give it a kiss. It is so funny! Her newest thing is being able to drink out of her sippy cup. She can hold it by herself and gets mad when it's gone.
Charlie and I often use the phrases " Where did our baby go" and " She is just getting too big". We never really understood unconditional love until we had a child. What a precious gift from God. We hope that you all enjoy your Christmas holiday. We are looking foward to spending time with family, friends, and eachother.
Merry Christmas,
Charlie, Jacie and Avington

First Candy Cane

She loved this candy cane! She is really into food now, and so when you have something and she wants it she will start "mmmmmm" "mmmmmm" and opens her mouth and drools until you let her have a bite. Well Charlie had this candy cane and she started doing that, so he gave her some and she went to town! We were afraid it would hurt her stomach so we took it away from her and she cried and screamed!!

6 month shots

These were a few pictures after our 6 month shots at the Health Clinic. That was an experience in itself.... a tiny cramped room with dirty kids.... I just kept thinking... "I have a good job with insurance and I am here ?!" Turns out that our insurance only pays the first $500 of our shots and well-baby. So from now on, its off to the health clinic for shots. It was $60 dollars at the clinic as compared to like $400 at the doctors office. Can you blame me?????
