I was looking through some old photos of when Avie was born and I realized that I was not a "blogger" when she was born. I didn't break into the blogging world until she was about 5 or 6 months old. So here are some pics from her birth. I HATE this first picture of me, mainly because I look like a swollen water balloon, but its the only picture I have of the 3 of us.
This is Avie and my mom. I love this picture of my mom, she just looks so proud.
I also love this picture of Charlie looking at her... you could tell from then on she had him hook line and sinker!
Here is our little "peanut" as they called her. Smallest baby in the nursery, weighing in at 5. 7 It's amazing how much they change isn't it? What a blessing.

Bathroom Update
Here are some updated pictures of our new bathroom. Charlie has been working on drywalling all night. This is our shower head, we went with a bronze/copper look. Mainly I took this picture to show off Charlie's hard work.
New tub/shower. It has much more room than our old shower. I personally love all of the little shelves.

9 month check
GREAT NEWS! Today was Avie's 9 month check up. As some of you know, I was very concerned that Avie was not crawling. I asked the doctor about it and these were her exact words " She is walking better than some 12 month olds walk" and " Don't worry about her not crawling, by the looks of things she is right where she needs to be developmentally". She also explained to me that lots of babies do not crawl anymore since there was the push to have babies on their backs. She said we are doing a great job with her and there is nothing to worry about. She weighs 21.8 pounds and is 30 3/4 inches long. I guess she is in the 75%tile for weight and "at the tip top" for her heights. Thanks to all of you for your kind words, prayers and encouragement as I dealt with my worries! God is Good to us :)

Monthly play date and other random pics
Today we had our play date at Carter's house. Here is Sam, he is so cute. He is so good with the babies. He was constantly making sure they had toys, and kept kissing Avie... it was adorable.
Avie is 9 months old today. She has her 9 month check up tomorrow with Dr. Magness Carver. I am interested to see how much she weighs and how long she is. I am a bit concerned that she is not crawling. She cries when we put her on her belly. We have been working on crawling, but we are not having any luck. She does however love to walk! She holds our fingers and just walks and walks. Sometimes I think she is going to take off running. My mom said that I walked before I crawled, but that part of me that has taken numerous child development classes, is worried. I will just have to see what the Doctor says tomorrow.

Helping with Laundry
Avington Lynn is getting her top front 2 teeth. Friday I could see them and feel them, and now the poor little things gums are so swollen and red that some days I can see them, some days I can feel them, some days I can do both, and then there are those days when I can't feel or see them. Regardless, she has been very "clingy" lately. Wants to be held 24/7. As you know, there are still other things that need to be done around the house, so you do what you can while holding a child... or in this case... sticking her in the laundry basket and carrying her upstairs.
Where's Avie?!

Dear Daddy
Charlie, Here are some things Avie has started doing over the last 5 days that you have been gone:
* making a "clicking"noise with her tongue
* saying "mamamamam"
* babbling more
* sticking her tongue out again
* standing up much better on her own
* listening when I put the phone to her ear
* wants to walk all of the time. She does not like sitting down anymore
* taken more of an interest in watching TV
* focusing on my lips when I talk to her
* taken a big interest in cats (and no we are not getting one)
* she started putting those little puff things into her mouth by herself. remember how she would just hold them or put them on the floor, well now she puts them in her mouth
* she has been really "clingy" lately. wants to sit on your lap when playing on the floor and wants to constantly be held
* she has been laying her head on my shoulder and chest when she is sleepy.
* she misses you so much. we have been practicing "dadada" every single day. whenever i say it, she just smiles and kicks her feet.
i will post some more pictures on here soon.
we miss and love you so much!

Congrats Friends
Congratulations to Scott and Beth Loomis! They are expecting a new little one on September 17th. I am hoping for the 12th because that is my b-day, but as long as the new Loomis arrives safe and sound that is all that really matters :)
Congratulations to Lindsey Olinger... she has finally joined those of us fellow bloggers! If any of you have helpful hints/tips on blogging, let her know :) I set her up with CBox, so just leave her a message! Also check out that adorable baby girl, Gracie! I have never seen so much hair on one child in my lifetime... she is so adorable!

Stiff arm wave
Today, for the first time, Avie actually put motion with her wave! For the last several days it has been more of a stiff, straight out, foward armed wave on occassion. Today when I picked her up from Chuck and Dee's house, we were leaving and Gpa Chuck was waving to her, and out of no where she started moving her arm back and forth (right to left) back at him. I started laughing and praising and kissing her. It was priceless! When Charlie came home tonight, she started waving to him. How great! I need to get it on video... its too cute, especially since it isn't up and down its right and left... too funny! She is getting too big I tell ya!
