Ok, so I am more than behind on posting pictures! These are also not in order, so sorry about that as well. So.... since my last post WE HAD A BABY! We are thanking God daily for another beautiful baby girl. Elyn Nikole Wright was born November 30th at 3:07 pm. She shares a birthday with her daddy, which he is thrilled about. She was 8 lbs 2 oz... a huge difference from Avie who weighed in at 5 lbs 7 oz.

So, apparently I haven't blogged for like 2 months or something crazy! Here are some updates (no pictures, promise I will post some soon)

Avie: What more can we say... we love this little lady! She is just such a blessing to us. She is doing great, developing wonderfully, and just brings us laughter every single day. She is excited about the new baby, but doesn't understand why "it" can't come out now. We keep trying to explain that "it" will come on daddy's bday (that is when c-section is scheduled), but she doesn't understand. She is also fully potty trained, Praise the Lord! She is also very much into Santa now and wants everything she sees for Christmas. She is also very excited about "the new house" and asked last night "where my bed gonna go momma?", I let daddy break it to her that her bed wasn't going into the "new house". We will see how that all goes over!

Charlie: Busy, Busy, Busy! Painting is going great, and when he gets home from work he goes straight to work on the addition. He is doing the inside on his own, with help from wonderful friends and family! He promised me that we would be in the new room and the kids rooms would be ready by Nov 14th, so we shall see if that happens. He is excited that the baby is "due" on his bday!

Jacie: Will be 33 weeks tomorrow! This pregnancy has gone much faster than with Avie. Things are good at work, have a new schedule this year that has been a challange to adjust to, but I am managing. Its very busy at work just trying to get things ready for the 8 weeks that I am gone. C-Section is scheduled for Nov 30th, which as of today is 43 days away! I am so excited about having another one, but a piece of me worries about Avie. Its all about her right now, and I worry she will be left out/lonely/jealous/ all of those other emotions.

Overall, God is so good to us and we are doing wonderful.
I promise to post some pictures soon!!

Baby #2 and Avie

Here he/she is! Baby #2 at 21 weeks. Here is a side view. Frontal View, strange view, but I love to see how there are 2 eyes, nose, mouth, and skull all forming.

We have decided not to find out with this one, although I did try and figure it out during the ultrasound. However, anything located below the heart (besides the legs) I am clueless as to what it is.

Here are some pictures of Avie when we picked Charlie's brother, Casey, and his family up from the airport. Casey and his wife live in Thailand and have not been home for 3 years. Since then they have had 2 children, Psalm (7 weeks older than Avie) and Dylan (10 months old). Needless to say, this was Avington's first time meeting her cousins.

Psalm and Avie hit it off right off the bat. I told Avie to say hi to Psalm and she went right up to her and said "Hi Psalmie". They held hands like they had know eachother forever!

Stopped at Target on the way home, Avie loved those big balls outside, and insisted on me taking her picture on them.

I have been a bad blogger, seems like there is always something to do that takes the place of my blogging time haha! Here are some pictures from our beach vacation 2010. We went to Bonita Springs FL to visit Charlies sister and her family. We had a wonderful time! Avie loved the beach, or the "pool" as she called it. She is still asking about "Britty's house" (Brittany is Charlie's sister).

Some of you know and some of you don't, but the word is out...........

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!

I am almost 13 weeks :) Official due date is December 8th, but since I am having another C-Section, they said to look towards the end of November. We have kept it sort of quiet, only because we didn't want Charlie's brother in Thailand to find out before we could tell him. Now the word is officially out! Avie is very excited and so are we. We are not finding out the sex of this baby though until he/she is born. And of course you know us.... our name is always as secret.

Good Morning Birthday Girl! Daddy made her a Mickey Mouse pancake to start her day off right! Avie's cake! Can you tell we went for a Minnie Mouse theme?

She had a red velvet Minnie cupcake that Memaw Burr made. I will post pictures of her blowing out the candle later. Hopefullly mom got some on her camera. Avie wouldn't let me out of her sight so I had to hold her while she blew out her candle, needless to say I didn't get any pictures.

I know I know, I am way behind on posting new pictures of Avington. I promise to post more over the weekend since we will be celebrating her SECOND BIRTHDAY!!! Where has the time gone?! She is talking up a storm and using 2 and 3 word phrases (right on track from an SLP's view hehe), running and jumping all over the place, following multi-step directions, and making us laugh multiple times a day. She is just so funny, I have no idea where she comes up with the stuff she says! She is also very independent and stubborn (much like her father) :)

We have a minnie mouse party planned for Saturday, and she is so excited. I am not sure why we spent money on buying her presents for her big day, because if you ask her what she wants her response is "cake". What can I say, a woman after my own heart!

We have also been busy finishing the inside of our house before the big party. Charlie has been working so hard finishing the crown molding, installing new ceiling fans and lights, and today (thanks to the rain) will be at home painting. Oh, and he finished putting down our new hard wood floor. It looks so great, he did such an awesome job! He promised me it would be done for Avie's bday, and before we start with new demo for the new addition to the back. We are adding on a master bedroom/bath/walk in closet and a family room. I am hoping to say our remodeling and building on will be completely finished by January of 2011.

Ok well I think that is it for now. Promise to post new pictures of our big girl soon!

For the WVU game on Saturday we had the Loomis and Hadley families (minus Mike) over. The kids could have cared less about the game, but had a blast playing together! Here are the girls, BFF's for life, laying on the couch. Here are the two beautiful baby girls, McKenzie and Camden

Updates from the Wright Family:

Our Avie Girl: Wow... in 2 months our little baby will be 2 years old! It is so hard for me to believe!! She is doing great :) Using lots of words (yeah), running, jumping, marching, is very independent, imitating every single thing we do, sleeps in her own big girl bed, loves to brush her teeth and eat, helps mommy bake/cook/clean/do dishes, loves to play and is beginning to play with other kids (she used to play beside them, but now she is actually starting to play with them), is in the 97% for her height (she is very tall). She is just a blessing to us and is constantly making us laugh.

Charlie: working, working and more working. He has until the beginning of May to complete our house. We have floor, trim and paint to do yet. We want to have Avie's bday there and I want it to be done!

Jacie: busy with school and the nursing home. not much exciting to report about Charlie and I... our world revolves around Avie :)

We had a great time at Disney on Ice and I will post pictures soon!

Merry Christmas but most importantly Happy Birthday Jesus!

I have to admit, I woke up at 4:50 this morning and could not to back to sleep. I am still very much "a kid a Christmas", but I am not excited for selfish reasons, I cannot wait to see little Avie and how excited she will be. I am also very anxious to give all of the presents we bought to our family.

While I was laying awake this morning, I began to think of Mary and Joseph. My mind wondered to how proud they must be as parents, to know that the child they gave birth to came to save the world. I also thought about the wise men who traveled miles and miles to come to see the Christ child, how amazing and wonderful that 3 men traveled so far to see a child they didn't even know. What a wonderful day that would be for Mary, Joseph and really for me. Jesus came here for me and you.... how wonderful.

So from the Wright Family this CHRISTmas season.... Have a very Merry Christmas and remember how loved and special we all truely are.

I don't know if I should cry tears of sadness or happiness! A part of me is so proud that we are going to begin potty training Avington, but a bigger part of me is sad that our "baby" is moving into the next phase of her life! During Christmas break, we have decided to start Avie with the potty training. She has had a big girl potty for several months now and sits on it and "pretends" to go. She actually has peed in it 2 x, purely by accident though. We think its time though, she is smart enough to know, so pray for us as we start this "adventure".

After tubby time this week.
Here I tried to get her to pose infront of the Christmas tree. She had her big smile and then she noticed daddy with ice cream and my "Moment of Christmas" picture became a Christmas memory!

This is Avie yelling for Harold, our neighbor. She looks out there for him almost every night after her tubby time. She will yell for him and then look at us and say "sshh" as if Harold is sleeping because he isn't out there. She usually can wait to yell for him after her diaper and jams are on!

A living room!

He is a mostly finished version of what our front room/living room is looking like these days :) Charlie worked very hard over the last 3 days (along with much appreciated help from my dad, Chuck, and my brother) to get us this far. This is a view from the front door. The furniture is in an awkard arrangement, but we had to make room for the Christmas tree to go up. The red wall is not decorated yet, but we do have the things to go on it. Also as you can see, the fan is missing its shade... thank you Lowe's for giving us a shattered one. This si a view from the kitchen/dining room. We still need to get our curtians up. The empty corner is where the Christmas tree will be going.

Remodeling Continues

New cabinets on the new half wall! We LOVE them!!!

Stairway to basement! I have waited so long for steps to our basement!!! Before this week anytime we wanted to go to the basement, we would have to walk out into the garage and down the garage steps into the basement. This used to be our old bathroom (that white little square you can see on the wall is the old toilet paper holder) I will post before and after pics as the progress continues.
On the open half wall you see directly infront of this picture, we are having cabinets for storage put there. Also al of those pieces of wood to the left is now a closet, but I didn't take that picture yet to show it "finished".

For some strange reason my updates/new postings to Avie's Adventures are not showing up on other blogs. It is still showing my last update as being "Trick or Treat: Our Chick" on other blogger's blogs. Does this make sense?!

For example: on Parker Loomis' blog under the "blogging friends" thingy where you can link to Avie's Adventures it still says:

Livng room remodeling

The living room remodel is under way! I appologize for not having pictures before the panneling was ripped off, but you should still get the idea. The first picture is the wall that was dividing our kitchen/dining room from our living room This is a picture from our front door with the majority of the wall ripped out. We are leaving the section on the right with the 2x4s because we have to put our refridgerator there.

Trunk and Treat

Grandma Nini's chruch had a "Trunk and Treat" tonight. The church family parks in the parking lot, opens their trunks of their cars and passes out candy. Its a nice safe way to trick or treat. As you can see Avie was a chicken, doesn't she look so cute?! We got her costume at Old Navy. Its so convenient, the top is just like a heavy jacket with a hood, and the pants just slide on like sweats.

Brushing My Teeth

These pictures make me smile! Doesn't she look so darn cute and rotten?! She is very much into brushing her teeth, by herself might I add. We have brushed her teeth for months and over the last 4 or 5 weeks she has come much more independent, so now she wants to brush her own. So we plop her on the counter, give her the toothbrush, turn on the water and she goes to town. Tuesday night she was even brushing and then spitting into the sink.... priceless!

This is also Avington Lynn's 17 month birthday! Hard to believe!! We are so blessed :)

Avie did not have a nap at Gma Dee's house today. So while I was making dinner she wanted to help, like always, but I was browning hamburger and cutting onions so I didn't want her to stand on a chair and help. So I put her in her highchair and pulled her over so she could see. When I turned around from cutting the onions this is how I found her! Look at that sweet little face, you can't help but love her.
I wheeled her back to where the highchair typically sits, and as you can see... she didn't move a muscle :) (And for those of you wondering... As you can see our house still isn't done, however they promise to have it completed by Thanksgiving)

Here is our newest addition to the Wright family, Dylan Gibson Wright. Dylan, his beautiful sister Pslam, Uncle Casey (Charlies brother) and Auntie Piyarat live in Thailand. Avie loves him already, she has insisted on kissing the computer screen at least 10 times, and she keeps waving at him. We love you Dylan and cannot wait to meet you in July!

New favorite hobby... using and fixing the sweeper! She loves to sweep, which will come in handy as she gets into her teen years.

We also have a new nephew! Charlie's brother, Casey, and his wife Piyarat are missionaries to Thailand, and they welcomed their new baby into the world! Dillion Gibson Wright was born today, which was really yesterday in Thailand. 7 pounds and "something" according to Grandma Dee. Not sure how long since they don't use inches over there. Please pray for him, he currently is fighting a lung infection and is on oxygen. I will post pictures as soon as we get them via email.

Mamaw Burr got Avington these boots today while shopping in Canton. I had been looking for a pair for her to slop around in when it rains, but the ones I liked were almost $30, and I am not paying that for them to get muddy. So... mom found these at Once Upon A Child for $2.50! Needless to say, she loves them :) She wore them to the soccer game tonight and then wanted them on as soon as she got out of the tub. Too stinkin' cute! In this one her boot fell off, but she just kept going with one boot on.

Camden "Cami" Ann Loomis made her way into the world early this morning! She weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz. Beth had a fast delivery, less than 2 1/2 hours :) Cami was being born as they were giving her the epidural. She is just beautiful! You can't tell from the picture, but she has tons of jet black hair!

Hello All!
Its been a long time since I have posted pictures, but my camera battery is dead and I need to charge it. I will post new pics of Avie as soon as I have it charged :)

AVIE: Walking, talking, and has her own independent personality. She is just so much fun and very independent. She has several words now: mommy, daddy, hi, bye bye, night night, more, ball, dog, duck, jump, go, baby, juice, mamaw, boo boo, hello. Sounds: bear, dog, duck, cow, beep beep (I know I am forgetting some words and sounds). It also amazes me how much she understands and follows multi-step directions. She is also very animated/dramatic! Its so funny! We are just so blessed to have her as our baby girl... who is not so much of a baby anymore. She will be 16 months on the 22 of September! Where has the time gone....

CHARLIE: Please pray for him. He has an official job interview with River View schools on the 15th of September with the maintenance department. He has been working with them as a "sub" for several months now and they recently started taking applications. So please keep him in your prayers on the 15th :) He has been busy with this that and the other, and really enjoys Avie. Every night before we go to sleep we talk about all the funny things she did that day.

JACIE: Back to school! Busy schedule this year. I have lots of first graders and third graders this year. By the looks of speech screenings for kindergarten, lots more with be joining the party.

Its been a long time since we updated! Like most of you, we have been busy with going back to school. Here are some pictures from last weekend :) My dad was inducted into the County Hall of Fame for his baseball career in WV, so we all loaded up in the camper and headed to the farm. We had a great time and got some good pics of Avie. Avie and Papaw at the river. My dad has been waiting, probably since he found out I was pregnant with her, to take her into the river. She loved it!

Sick Baby Girl

Our sweet Avie is sick :( Today she has had a fever ranging between 101.2 and 102.8. We think it may be her teeth, however she has been digging at her ears for a few days. Today is the first day though she has acted out of sorts. She also grabbed at her neck/throat a few times, but I am not sure if that means its sore or if she just touched it to touch it. At times like these I so wish she could tell us what hurts. She is now sound asleep in bed and its only 8: 20 pm... she hasn't been in bed this early since I was in school. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

What a better way to cool off than the garden hose, and no that's not her bathing suit! Charlie was putting in our new storm door and Avington wanted to go outside. So we decided to water the flowers, which turned into watering ourself! She had a great time... whats a little wet outfit when you are having fun?!

Last Monday we had a pool party at Miss Debbie's pool. Some of our family from Dover came down and some friends from here in town also came over. We had a great time! Look at the cute little chubby belly!

This summer Avie has cut several teeth. The latest one has been her top 18 month molar, one has already come through, but the other started making its way through yesterday. I have been trying to think of things to give her to ease her pain. Well while rummaging through the freezer for dinner foods, I noticed a bag of frozen blueberries. Avie LOVES to eat, so I thought I would give them a try. As you can tell from the pictures below they were are hit! The next 2 pictures are frozen raspberries I threw on the tray. This is her "sour face"! LOL

Avington is into self feeding :)

WE GOT A NEW OVEN!!!

I will say it was a bit sad parting with our other oven. As you can see from the pictures, she should be an antique!! Our house was built in the early 70's and that oven had been there from square one. She was a good ole girl, but she was beginning to fail. For example: almost every single holiday, without fail, the bottom burner in the oven part would stop working. So every holiday, we would be late because our food was not cooked all the way.

The new oven has self cleaning (which we have never had) and delay bake (which we have never had).

I bought brownies to bake in it tonight just to see how she does :)

We are still in the remodeling process.... just taking it a little at a time.
Praise to the Lord that Charlie was able to get on with River View Schools in the maintence (spelling?) department. He has never had a steady 2 week check before being self employeed, so this is a nice change for us. He has been working very hard, and now we can continue with the remodeling. Keep us in your prayers :)

4th of July Getaway

This year for July 4th we headed down to our family farm in West Virginia. My dad's side of the family owns 200+ acers of National Forest in Elkins WV. We left on Thursday afternoon and stayed through Sunday. Here are some pictures of our weekend getaway. Below is how Avington started off her first 4th of July... sleeping waiting on the fireworks to start.

She loved the fireworks! She clapped, laughed and squealed in excitement!
She was getting a bit restless between the waking up and waiting, so we bribed her with Cheeto's. That is what the orange is all over her face, hands and sweatshirt.

We just can't belive how fast she changes. As some of you know, I worry about her constantly. I think because she was 4 weeks early and I am always comparing her to other kiddo's. The Lord gently reminds me of the things that she is able to do :)

Here are some candid pics of Avie. She has really been "talking" a lot lately. The mom side of me is happy, but the speech therapist side of me is THRILLED!!! She does have several words, but her favorite word is "more", mainly because it relates to food... and if you know her she LOVES to eat!!! Anyways, Charlie left the phone book on our bed yesterday and Avie decided she would "read" it. She was just flipping through the pages and babbling on and on about this and that. She would point at the pictures or people names, then look at me, then point back to the pic/name and look at me again like " do you wanna call them momma? " It was so funny!

Here are some pictures of Avie in a "real pool" at Debbie Hardesty's a.k.a "Miss Debbie". The first time I took her, she did not like it one bit, she cried and screamed even when her feet were in. However as you can tell by the pictures she now LOVES it! As soon as we get there she heads right for the water and splashes her little baby feet, it is so cute.

We all think she is going to be an outdoors girl, she loves playing in the rocks/dirt, looking at the birds, going for walks, smelling/picking the flowers, and "exploring" with papaw Burr.
She is growing up so fast! Sorry for the delay in pictures.... my internet has been acting up lately. Hopefully it is fixed and I can get back to blogging and cropmom.... I am addicted thanks to Christy :)

The first experience with the pool was not so good, she cried the entire time she was in there, but today was great. She laughed, tried to drink the water, and went down the sliding board. I am often amazed at how much Avie changes in just a weekends time. This weekend she has learned and said some new things.
***She now says "no" and shakes her head back and forth, well really her entire body shakes back and forth when she says "no". It is so funny! She currently doesn't associate what "no" really means when she says it. She just says it and shakes it and then laughs.
***She also has been saying "zop", which I am thinking is "stop", but then she says "zap" and occassionally "zip".
***She has found her hair and pulls her hair when you ask her where it is and she now knows where her toes are.
***She also is very much into dancing
***Oh and now she finally crawls!!! Many of you know I have been worried to death about her not crawling, well now she is moving and grooving.

She is just so much fun and we love her so much! We constantly are either laughing at her or with her. What a great life we have been blessed with,

Yes its true, your eyes are not fooling you... I am having a yard sale. I always said I would never have a yard sale, but low and behold I am. It is going to be next Friday and Saturday (if I am feeling that ambitious, if not the stuff is going to my mother-in-laws on Saturday).

Avie had her one year pictures taken this morning. I took her back to the lady who did her newborn pictures (which we loved). She is from Holmesville and I heard about her from my student teacher from last year, Emily. Parker Loomis

Today we celebrated Avie's first birthday party! We had the party at Mom and Dad's house and even though it rained we had a WONDERFUL time! We also had some surpise visitors, my aunts (dad's sisters) drove clear here from West Virginia to surpise us for Avie's day! We were so excited and surprised, it was so nice to see them :) Jamie, my roommate from college and her boyfriend, Drew, also came to visit us from Cleveland. Lindsey also made her way here from Columbus. We did not get to visit with Miss Gracie bug though, she is feeling under the weather and running a temp. Avie loved playing with Parker and she also got to see her newest friend Lily. It was such a wonderful evening! Thank you to all of you who came to share in Avie's first birthday, we truely cherish the time and memories we are making.
By the pictures you may think it was Christmas for Avington, but it was just her birthday. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of Avie's gifts! We are both overwhelmed and so thankful for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and love that you give to our family. We definatley do not deserve it. Gifts or no gifts, we would have still had a wonderful day just being with our family and friends. We appreciate all that you have done for us!!

Happy Mother's Day Mommies :)
We had a great mother's day in the Wright household. I woke up this morning to 2 cards and a present. Anytime there is a G.A. Fisher's bag, its bound to be good. Inside I found 2 new charms for my bracelette (sp?), one from Avie that says #1MOM and a really pretty orange vintage looking one from Charlie.

At 2:00 we are headed with both sets of grandparents and Uncle Ryan to Texas Roadhouse in New Phila. We are going in "Wright Style"... yes you guessed it.... we are taking the motor home so we can all ride together! I will hopefully have pictures :) Go ahead and say it.... what rednecks! LOL

Congratulations to Nathan and Renata Skelley! They had their beautiful baby girl, Lillian "Lily" Jane Skelley yesterday at 5:26 pm. She weighs 8 pounds and 11 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches long. We went to see her tonight, and let me tell you she is a doll! She has lots of dark brown hair and is just beautiful. Avie LOVED her. I didn't think Avie would pay much attention to her, but she was very much into her. She kept giving her kisses and trying to touch her. She mainly tried to touch her eyes, she now knows where eyes are so she points to them on everything. At one point Lily started crying and Avie started busting up laughing! She was really good with her. We are so happy for the Skelleys!!! What a blessing :)

Family Updates

AVIE: Is very much into walking. Since she was about 9 1/2 months old, she started walking while holding onto our fingers with both hands. At about 10 1/2 months old she progressed to just holding onto one hand while walking. About a week ago, she started taking her first steps towards us. She can go like 3 or 4 on her own. Well this morning I had her standing on the floor holding on to our recliner. I walked to our front door (probably 4 steps away) and was checking on our dogs outside when I heard a "thump - thump - thump - CRASH!" When I turned to look, I found her face first on the carpet, much like a belly flop in the pool, screaming her head off. So now she is apparently getting brave and walking towards us when we aren't looking.
She also LOVES eating. She will eat her baby food until she notices we have "real people" food and then she wants ours. I am slowly trying to get her off of her bottles, so now for breakfast she has oatmeal and toast. She loves toast!
On the 22nd she will be 11 months old. Hard to believe in like 2 weeks I will be sending out invites to her FIRST birthday!

CHARLIE: Is busy like usual. He is almost done with his firefighters classes. Those consume his every Tuesday and Thursday night as well as his Sunday's. I will be happy when those are over, so we can have him back home. He has been steady with work and is getting pretty full for the summer. The Lord has blessed him with his business and we are so thankful. He is also busy remodeling our house in his spare time. We are getting ready to cut a hole in our floor for our stairway. He has done such a great job!

JACIE: I have been busy with writing IEP's at school. I am very ready for summer. I often say I love my job, but I love being home even more. I just finished reading Twilight... I am addicted! I hate to read, but this book is so good! I just finished it while Avie was napping, and I want to go to Walmart this evening and get New Moon, the sequal.

Ok so we are far from marriage, and even further from a baby carriage, but Avington Lynn did have her first kiss (other than mommy/daddy/grandparents/dogs) last night! Who is the lucky man you may ask......... Parker Loomis! It was so adorable. Beth and I went to Scott's baseball game in New Phila and after the game the babies wanted out of their strollers, so they were toddling around. It was like love at first sight, they went towards eachother as fast as their little baby legs would let them and went right in for a kiss. Then to top it off, at one point Parker turned away, and Avie was grabbing for his jacket and screaming at him to come back. When he did, she went for another kiss. It was so funny! I know I know, I say that now but in 10 years it isn't going to be nearly this adroable!

First Steps

Well, our little girl is growing up... she has started taking her first steps. On Tuesday (April 7th) Avie took 3 independent steps towards me from my mom! Since then she is really liking this walking thing and wants to be on the go all of the time. She used to need both of our fingers to walk, but now she is getting pretty good with one hand. Tonight she used a little toy thing to push and walk behind all by herself. She went pretty far, until the wall/couch/and-or table stopped her. She doesn't quite have the turning part down. I have a feeling it wont be long until she is on the go. Seems like she always hits those milestones around a holiday. She sat up by herself on Christmas and now close to Easter she is taking first steps. Hard to believe she will be 1 next month!!

Remodeling continues

Ok this was my old hallway with the old bathroom behind that wall that you see to the right. Avie's room is the first one on the left, then ours, then our new bathroom straight ahead. This was our old bathroom, across from Avies room.

So the bathroom is done (minus the floor and some minor touch-ups), and we have moved on to the dining room. Here is a before and after of the work that was done this weekend. We ripped out the old bathroom and are making stairs to our basement. If you haven't ever been to our house you may be confused on what you are looking at, but for those of you who have you should understand. Off of our old dining room we had a bathroom and a hallway that led back to our bedrooms and new bathroom. We demolished the old bathroom and hallway and now we have on huge open space. You would not belive how much room we have now! We are going to put in stairs to our basement (right now i have to go through my garage) and expand our existing dining room. After all of this is completed, we are going to do some remodeling of our kitchen.... one mess at a time :) You would not believe the amount of dust this remodel generates! Makes me wanna gag literally :) A huge thank you to our parents for their help! They have helped with the remodel as well as helping with Avie so I can do what I can to help Charlie. We are making some great progress!!! Oh, but in the process of demolition, we somehow have messed up our heat... so currently we are keeping warm with space heaters. So please pray that Charlie/Chuck/Dad can figure out how to fix it!

Getting in the Easter Spirit

LOVE THIS PICTURE!

Here are some pictures my mom took this morning. At the beginning of the week while Avie was napping, my mom put out all of her Easter decorations. Avie notices EVERYTHING, so when she woke up from her nap, she found all of the Easter bunnies and eggs. Mom puts some change in some of the eggs and Avie just shakes and shakes them. Its amazing what a little personality they develop!

Zoo Day!

Charlie, Avie, and I took the day and went to the Columbus Zoo as a family and then we spent the night in Columbus. We had such a great time! Seems like someone is always running somewhere, so we decided to take some time for ourselves as a family. Charlie has started his second firefighters course every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6-10 pm and every Sunday from 8-12 pm (with some Sunday's being all day events), and we are alawys running somewhere at night. So we had the weekend away and it was so fun. We decided on the zoo because Avington loves animals! We thought that her favorite attraction was the fish, and then we found the monkey exhibit, and then we found the petting zoo... oh man she had a blast there. I thought she might be scared, but she reached right out for those animals.... then again she lives with Hooch! What a blessing to be able to get away and free your mind from the stresses of work and life in general :)

Cousin Morgan picked this outfit out for Avie for her baby shower. It is so cute, I think she looks like a little sailor girl in it. My mom bought this cat, Lovely, for Avie for Valentines day. She loves Lovely, she plays with her all the time. Today is Avie's 10 month birthday. I know that I say this all of the time, but I will say it again.... time goes so quickly. What a blessing she has been to Charlie and my life.

Today Avie's top 2 teeth finally popped through! She was running a fever of about 101, sometimes a bit higher and sometimes a bit lower, all day yesterday so I figured something was up. She also was not her happy little smiley self, and she was buring up and very clingy most of the day. Well today, not 1 but 2 teeth made their enterance :) She is slowly but surely getting back to herself. I will post new pictures of her and her 4 teeth soon.

Today we had a big day. We first had lunch at Auntie Nette's house, then we had Parker Loomis' first birthday party, and lastly we headed to Dover for the NCAA party. While in Dover, Aunt Karen found Avie some jewels to play with. Doesn't she look so cute?!

Bathroom Update

Here are the newest pictures hot off the press of the bathroom. Charlie finished hanging the mirrors, vanity lights, and towel holders tonight. He also touched up on some painting (yes its blue walls and a tan ceiling) and then we cleaned it up. All that is left is flooring, moving the toilet from the old bathroom, putting up the toilet paper holder, window treatments, and some rugs for infront of the sinks. All in all, we are pretty much done. I just enjoyed a relaxing bath... it was awesome! I love baths and have not had one since we moved in here, 3 years ago in September. Charlie did an AWESOME job and I am very proud of all of his hard work. The next major project is tearing out our existing bathroom to make stairs to the basement and some remodeling of the current dining room and kitchen. My hopes are that everything will be done by summer.

Avie loves playing in the tub, so tonight while she was playing, I decided to "style" her hair. Funny thing is.... it dried like this! If the flash on my camera wouldn't have woken her up, I would have taken her picture. It should make for a great hair day tomorrow :)

Big Day for Avie

Avie decided she was ready to wake up this morning at 5:55am. So I went and got her out of her crib and got her morning bottle ready. I gave her to Charlie, who was still snoozing away in our bed, with her bottle and began to get ready. This is how I found her about 6:45... out cold in our bed. This evening I was folding laundry and felt a bump under our covers.... come to find out when she was done with her bottle this morning, she "hid" it under the covers. I love to watch her sleep. Yesterday morning before church, this is how I found Avie and Charlie... 2 peas in a pod. They were both watching TV, but as soon as I got ready to snap the picture Avie looked at me.

NEWS OF THE DAY:

My mom watched Avie today. When I arrived at her house this afternoon I was greeted by a big "toothy" smile and my mom with a list of things that Avington did today. So here they are....
1. Walked around the jumpy toy
2. Drank water from a real cup
3. Went a couple of steps on her own behind a walker stroller thingy I bought her and a walker thingy that my mom bought her
4. Stood by herself, only for about 2 seconds, but its a start
5. Said dadada, finally! She has been saying mamam for weeks and now a whole host of other babbles, but she wouldn't say dadada
6. Kicked a ball over and over. I watched her do this yesterday at church, but I thought it was a fluke. Today confirmed it. It is so funny. She grabs our fingers and walks and kicks the ball, then goes as fast as she can towards it again and kicks it again. She does this several times in a row. We think she is going to be the next pro womens soccer player... watch our Mia Hamm. We like to think she is also taking after Uncle Ryan.
She has also become very fasinated with our tongue and our teeth. If the soccer thing doesn't work out for her, I think she will be a Dentist. She is constantly sticking her fingers in our mouth and feeling our teeth and tongues. We joke that we are at the dentist when she does it. Too funny!

A look back

I was looking through some old photos of when Avie was born and I realized that I was not a "blogger" when she was born. I didn't break into the blogging world until she was about 5 or 6 months old. So here are some pics from her birth. I HATE this first picture of me, mainly because I look like a swollen water balloon, but its the only picture I have of the 3 of us. This is Avie and my mom. I love this picture of my mom, she just looks so proud.
I also love this picture of Charlie looking at her... you could tell from then on she had him hook line and sinker!

Here is our little "peanut" as they called her. Smallest baby in the nursery, weighing in at 5. 7 It's amazing how much they change isn't it? What a blessing.

Bathroom Update

Here are some updated pictures of our new bathroom. Charlie has been working on drywalling all night. This is our shower head, we went with a bronze/copper look. Mainly I took this picture to show off Charlie's hard work. New tub/shower. It has much more room than our old shower. I personally love all of the little shelves.

9 month check

GREAT NEWS! Today was Avie's 9 month check up. As some of you know, I was very concerned that Avie was not crawling. I asked the doctor about it and these were her exact words " She is walking better than some 12 month olds walk" and " Don't worry about her not crawling, by the looks of things she is right where she needs to be developmentally". She also explained to me that lots of babies do not crawl anymore since there was the push to have babies on their backs. She said we are doing a great job with her and there is nothing to worry about. She weighs 21.8 pounds and is 30 3/4 inches long. I guess she is in the 75%tile for weight and "at the tip top" for her heights. Thanks to all of you for your kind words, prayers and encouragement as I dealt with my worries! God is Good to us :)

Monthly play date and other random pics

Today we had our play date at Carter's house. Here is Sam, he is so cute. He is so good with the babies. He was constantly making sure they had toys, and kept kissing Avie... it was adorable.

Avie is 9 months old today. She has her 9 month check up tomorrow with Dr. Magness Carver. I am interested to see how much she weighs and how long she is. I am a bit concerned that she is not crawling. She cries when we put her on her belly. We have been working on crawling, but we are not having any luck. She does however love to walk! She holds our fingers and just walks and walks. Sometimes I think she is going to take off running. My mom said that I walked before I crawled, but that part of me that has taken numerous child development classes, is worried. I will just have to see what the Doctor says tomorrow.
